Faith-Centered Guide to Fatherhood. Kid-Approved & Grandpa-Recommended
Dad – Don’t Suck! 2.0 is a practical, faith-centered guide with advice for dads at any stage of fatherhood. The author draws on contributions from kids to illustrate this, with advice from real-life daughters Briana, 18; Aubry, 17; Noah, 16; Charli, 15; Logan, 10; and Lexi, 9. Real-life sons Coen, 14, Asher, 13, and Jace,12, also contributed. I'm listing their names because they should probably be credited as co-authors. The author’s (authors’) advice isn’t abstract theory; it’s from lived experience. This encouraging read outlines 10 ways fathers can strengthen their relationships with their children and build a legacy of love and character. As a grandparent now, I see much of my own success and mistakes reflected in the book. I wish I’d had this book when my children were young. Fortunately, I can pass it down to my kids so they don’t repeat the mistakes I made.
Good and useful book.
I got this book for my husband, and we both thought it was great. This book is easy to read and gives you useful advice that makes you think about the little things you do with your kids every day. From a faith-based point of view, I love that it talks about simple actions, communication, and being more intentional as a dad.
