Orc Sized Love and the Neon Glitch
A Fantasy Cyberpunk-Urban Romance & Whistleblower Thriller
by Sabrina Wilde, A.R. Grayson
About the Book
Machines remember. Cities watch. Love becomes the unexpected patch in a broken system. New Fay City—San Francisco renamed in the late 2020s—hums with neon and uneasy magic in 2053, decades after the Aetherfall comet first tore the sky. Kira Sterling keeps her grief folded tight until echoes of her brother’s voice begin surfacing in the Glitchbox’s circuitry, a car whose AI carries something like a ghost. A spark with C. J.
, an orc mechanic from the slums, turns a routine morning into a brutal pursuit: the Syndicate’s deadliest blade has her marked for silence over secrets she never asked for. The city closes in; she chooses to stand and strike back. With the help of friends—old allies and newly found ones—and an irrepressible goblin bulldog called Tank, they strike back against Syndicate shadows and the dark boardroom sins buried beneath New Fay’s neon. C. J.

Fun, different, and very creative.
The mix of fantasy and cyberpunk really works, and the story keeps you curious from start to finish. The characters are interesting, and the romance adds a nice touch without taking over the plot. If you like unusual worlds and fast-moving stories, this one is worth reading.
interesting fantasy story
I’m still thinking about Orc Sized Love and the Neon Glitch days after reading it , and honestly, I didn’t expect that. The story follows Kira Sterling, and I have to say, I really connected with her from the beginning. Then there’s C.J., the orc mechanic , and yes, he is exactly as fun and grounded as he sounds. Their chemistry is sharp and real, and I appreciated how the romance unfolds alongside this corporate conspiracy about the car that shouldn’t be alive. It’s like if Blade Runner and Stargate had a quirky lovechild that also cared about emotional truth.
Interesting and different
It’s an explosive mix of genres: fantasy, magic, cyberpunk, and romance. I enjoy fantsy, but I’m not a big fan of orcs or cyberpunk. Still, the book was quite engaging to read. The romance is written in an interesting way. My teenage son liked the book even more than I did, and unlike me, he didn’t really notice the small editing issues. Overall it feels like something fresh and different, and it’s definitely worth a look if you enjoy any of these genres.
