Revolutionize food storage and enjoy peace of mind for years to come.
This book is about how to create a pantry full of delicious, nutritious meals that stay fresh for up to 25 years. A complete guide to freeze-drying, where you can turn fresh ingredients into light, long-lasting meals. I liked the camping meals that can be prepared by simply adding water.I found the 30-day meal plan interesting, which saved me time and money. This book is a great gift in the form of a cookbook for any member of the family.
Simple Ideas for Long-Lasting Meals
I picked up Freeze Drying Cookbook because I wanted better ideas for preserving food, and it turned out to be very practical. The recipes are straightforward and easy to follow, even if you’re new to freeze drying. I especially liked the variety of foods you can prepare and store for later. It gave me a few ideas I hadn’t tried before, and it made the whole process feel much less intimidating. A useful guide for anyone interested in food storage.
a great resource
I'm really glad I picked up this book. I've had a freeze dryer for a couple of years, and I've been learning how to do it appropriately and well as I go, but this book had info in it that I hadn't heard of before and has now helped me see why some of my freeze-drying projects didn't turn out as well as I wanted. For instance, I hadn't realized avocadoes don't freeze dry well, knowledge I wish I'd known before I freeze dried a large batch of them.Besides that info, I really appreciated the meal recipes, especially those that were good for long-term storage and/or for taking camping or for emergency packs. Those were some of the reasons we bought the freeze-dryer, but I haven't yet seen many recipes for just those purposes. Overall, this is a great resource for anyone who uses a freeze dryer.
