Shadows of Winter
The Curse and the Crown
by Lindsay Buroker
About the Book
How could a visit to the kingdom capital turn disastrous so quickly? As a commoner, it’s Kaylina Korbian’s duty to bow to aristocrats, avoid rabble-rousers, and call the haughty royal rangers my lord. Especially the arrogant Vlerion of Havartaft. Handsome, powerful, and a legendary swordsman, he’s the last person you’d want to cross. Naturally, Kaylina irks him at their first meeting, and he arrests her.
Unbeknownst to her, the city is dealing with political strife and assassinations, and the rangers are on edge. Kaylina must work with Vlerion to clear suspicion from her name, even as she unearths a dark secret about him that will either bind them together… or get her killed. ~ Shadows of Winter is a thrilling fantasy adventure perfect for fans of slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance.

A good fantasy romance

A Captivating Tale of Mystery and Challenge
This is an engaging story! The curse and the castle are original and intriguing. The castle wasn’t what I expected, and the experiences there were unsettling. I was also surprised they chose to stay. The challenges are truly tough, and I’m curious to see how everything unfolds.
Mead and Fur
A mead maker and a shapeshifter, a cursed, a chef, and a fanged beast that loves honey. What could possibly go wrong? Trying to prove herself to her family, a woman comes to the north country to start an eatery and meadery, but she has no idea of the political or cultural realities of her new location. She finds that nothing is simple, and no one is what he seems.
