Lone Werewolves
A werewolf has found a way to avoid shifting long enough to raise two boys to adulthood, supporting them and herself as an apartment manager. But she encounters a treasure hunter who is not what he seems, but who brings a change into her life that she never expected. It presents a different take on werewolf life, set in the Snohomish mountains, well-written with an interesting premise. Written as a first book in a series, it is almost like a teaser for the other books.
Witty, fast-paced, and full of bite
Lindsay Buroker delivers another addictive urban fantasy with a heroine who’s sharp, stubborn, and impossible not to root for. The mix of humor, action, and a dash of romance keeps the pages flying. Some world-building details could have been expanded, but overall it’s a refreshing and entertaining start to a series I’m eager to continue.
Hooked From Page One
Lindsay Buroker never disappoints! This book has everything I love, witty banter, fast-paced adventure, and just the right amount of magic and mystery. The characters are instantly likable, and the world pulled me in right away. I couldn’t stop reading and already grabbed book two. If you enjoy fantasy with humor and heart, this is a must-read.
