happily single at any age :)
I love that this book begins by debunking the myth of an "expiration date" for women. There is a widespread belief that women must achieve certain milestones by an "appropriate" age, but appropriate for whom? The author briefly yet confidently explains why this idea is complete nonsense. The exericeses and reflection prompts at the end of each chapter truly make you want to pause and reflect on important questions, helping you distinguish between your true desires and those shaped by society and cultural expectations. The exercises helped me feel freer and more at peace with my life choices. The comparison detox plan is a golden key that every women, regardless of her status, shoudl have. It was incredibely helpful and deepened my self-understanding. I also loved the rituals included in the book. They can become small, comforting habits that support your energy and self-image.
Liberty and confidence
This book dispels the illusion that loneliness at 40 is a life sentence. For the first time while I read this book, I felt that I was ok and my life was only mine. The author is warm, humorous, and sincere, and she helps you shed the shame, rekindle happiness, and recognize that midlife is a springboard for freedom, development, and real happiness.
Practical, Funny, and So True
I really enjoyed this book. The author writes with ease and humor, and the real-life examples make the chapters feel relatable and authentic. What I especially value is that there are no lectures or âperfect advice,â but rather honest stories in which many readers will recognize themselves. The exercises and practical tasks are another big plus. They donât just let you read and forget â they actually help you rethink your own experience, set priorities, and look at dating and relationships in a new way.The main takeaway: being single is neither a flaw nor a pause, but a full and valuable part of life where you can truly be happy. I completely agree with the author. I hope this book and the insights it offers will help many others.
