About the Book

Fourteen-year-old Emma Marshall’s life is built on art, friendship, and her dream of art school. But everything shatters after a brutal assault by a classmate. Days later, he’s found dead—under circumstances hauntingly similar to Emma’s nightmares. When more boys begin to vanish, Emma’s visions grow darker and more terrifying. Are her dreams just cruel tricks of the mind, or are they chilling glimpses of reality?

As the line between illusion and truth begins to blur, Emma must unravel the mystery before her own secret comes to light. Shadows of Innocence is a gripping psychological thriller that blends dark suspense, coming-of-age drama, and heart-stopping mystery. Perfect for fans of thriller books with female protagonists, YA psychological suspense, and unputdownable page-turners, this novel keeps you questioning what’s real until the final, shocking twist.

Kept Me Guessing the Whole Time

I started Shadows of Innocence thinking it would be a quick YA read, but it pulled me in more than I expected. The tension builds slowly, and I kept second-guessing what was really going on with the characters. I liked how the friendships felt real, especially when things started to unravel. There were a couple of twists I didn’t see coming, which made it even more fun to read. I ended up finishing it faster than I planned because I needed to know how it all came together.

Great YA Thriller!

This is a great read. Keep in mind it is a thriller and may have some content that may be disturbing to some readers, however I thought it was very entertaining and easy to read.

Kept Me Guessing Until the End

I picked this up expecting a typical YA thriller, but Shadows of Innocence pulled me in more than I expected. The tension builds steadily, and I found myself second-guessing what was really going on more than once. I liked how the friendships felt real and sometimes messy, which made the stakes feel higher. There were a few moments that genuinely surprised me, and I kept reading just to see how everything would unfold. Definitely a gripping and memorable read.
