When young ensign Maria Roszak makes a revolutionary discovery, she finds herself in the middle of an interstellar conflict. Outgunned by enemies and double-crossed by friends, she has to grow up fast. A big, splashy, balls-to-the-wall space opera that pits the ideals of the Honor Code against the stark reality of self-preservation.
