Animal Farm
All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.
by George Orwell
About the Book
All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. In this timeless and thought-provoking allegory, George Orwell explores the dangers of totalitarianism, the corrupting influence of power, and the fragility of democracy. When the animals of Manor Farm rise up against their drunken and tyrannical owner, they envision a utopian society where all animals are equal and free.
But as the pigs, led by the charismatic and power-hungry Napoleon, consolidate their control, the animals begin to realize that their revolution has gone horribly wrong. A powerful warning about the dangers of government control, propaganda, and manipulation, "Animal Farm" is a classic tale that remains eerily relevant today. Join the animals of Manor Farm as they discover the dark side of revolution and the true meaning of freedom.

Same Story, New Stage. Animal Farm’s Warning for Our Times
I’ve spent a lot of miles behind the wheel, and if there’s one thing the road teaches you, it’s that patterns repeat—over and over and over again. George Orwell’s Animal Farm is an allegorical dystopian novella originally published over eighty years ago. What was written as a satire of Stalinist Russia in 1945 has become a universal warning for every generation. This little tale of barnyard animals reveals the truth about abuse of power, propaganda, and corruption in today’s world. What was true in 1945 remains true as we roll into 2026. Today, governments and mega corporations are often aligned in shaping narratives. Censorship is sold as protection, misinformation spreads far faster than truth, and ordinary people are caught in the middle. Different stage, same play.I first read Animal Farm decades ago. Like 1984, it’s a must-read for our times. The story reminds us that we must keep our eyes wide open to avoid the fate of the hens who rebelled against giving up their eggs or Boxer the horse, who worked himself to ruin, believing the false promises of those in charge. The word ‘Orwellian’ has now been part of our vocabulary for decades. The more things change, the more they remain the same. Rulers still twist words, rewrite history, and use fear or empty promises to tighten their grip on power.
A classic that feels more relevant every time
I’ve read Animal Farm several times now, from different publishers, and each time it feels like it reflects our world even more clearly. Orwell’s story may be set on a farm, but the way it shows power, control, and propaganda is timeless. It’s short, sharp, and thought-provoking, a book that stays with you long after you finish it. If you’ve never read it, it’s absolutely worth it; and if you have, it’s the kind of book that only grows more meaningful with each reread.
