Eye-Opening and Strategically Insightful
The Psychology of Money and Power is one of those books that makes you pause and rethink how influence really works in high-stakes environments. I picked it up expecting bold claims what I found was a surprisingly strategic and thought-provoking read.
A go-to reference
I'm really glad I picked up this book, "Millionaire Money Psychology." I hadn't known exactly what it would be about, but because I've had financial concerns on my mind lately, I thought I'd find out what the author, Daniel Erikson, knew about it. As I got into the book, though, I discovered it was, in many ways, the information I needed. Currently, I'm trying to learn more about marketing and how to sell the items in my business more effectively, and this book helped me understand more of what I needed to know than other sources I've read. Yeah, in some ways, the narrative reminds me what it would be like to attend a millionaire's seminar about financial success. But in many other ways, the narrative discusses and describes the tactics and mindset that leads to financial success--some that were exactly what I needed to hear right now. Such as accepting a mindset of wealth as possible for little ol' me, and not feeling like I need to give everything away. There was a lot of other great advice in this book that I intend to use as needed, which makes this one of my go-to reference books. Recommended.
Powerful Tools for Influence—with a Warning Label
Millionaire Money Psychology is a compelling look into the mindset and strategies that drive high-level influence and financial success. While the title might suggest manipulation, the real value of this book lies in its exploration of how psychology, perception, and intentional action shape outcomes—not just in wealth, but in leadership. As someone working in a non-profit organization without a formal CEO (I'm acting as an interim), I found the communication and leadership insights incredibly useful. The shift from reactive to proactive management, the power of framing and mirroring, and the importance of influence over logic were especially applicable in my current role. What sets this book apart is its honest approach: it doesn’t hide the “dark” tools of persuasion, but instead reminds readers that influence is neutral—intent is what matters. Used ethically, the principles in this book can enhance clarity, confidence, and leadership impact. If you’re in any kind of leadership role, especially without formal authority, this book gives you language, strategy, and a psychological edge.
