Perfect kids cookbook for family baking time
I bought this book for my nephews and it turned out to be a real hit straight away - they had so much fun making their own little treats. The recipes are simple and child-friendly, so they found them easy to follow and were proud of what they'd made. It's a great way to keep kids entertained while also teaching them basic cooking skills.
Highly recommended
I had an easy bake oven when I was a kid, and now that I’m a grandmother, I love that they’re still around. I also love this little cookbook for kids. Partly because the recipes are perfectly sized for the little portions that can be baked in easy bake ovens, and partly because the recipes are both simple and made from scratch, rather than a mix. That’s the way I bake now (from scratch) and using the recipes in this book with my grandchildren gives me a fun way to pass that tradition—and skill—down to them. I also love that the book is filled with both sweet treats and meal-related breads, and that each recipe includes a little baking tip, like how to help cookies turn out softer or fudgier. Such tips work with regular-sized ovens too. I definitely recommend this little cookbook.
this is a fun cookbook that encourages kids to be creative in the kitchen
We tried a couple of the sweet treats first, and they turned out surprisingly well. The recipes are fun without being complicated, which helped keep the excitement up instead of turning baking into a frustrating project. I also appreciated that there’s a mix of sweet and savory options, so it doesn’t feel repetitive.
