About the Book

In this continuation of Obscured Intent, the second installment in the Precarious Entanglement series, Mina and Ryder press on with their dangerous mission—rescuing innocents from Nazi control while gathering critical intelligence for the resistance. Far from them, Flora remains imprisoned in a foreign land, forced into an unthinkable fate at the hands of an unstable SS officer, with no clear path to freedom.

When Ryder is captured in service to his country, Mina is confronted with an impossible choice: risk everything to save him, or protect the fragile network of couriers, operatives, and family members depending on her. In the end, she makes the only decision she can—one that betrays Ryder’s trust but may save his life, and the lives of countless others. As the war finally comes to an end, Mina and Welles face the heartbreaking task of reuniting rescued children with their families.

A strong continuation of the series

I always worry with ongoing series that the next installment might slow things down, but for me, this one actually pulled me in even more. I also liked how the relationships aren’t perfect. There’s tension, misunderstandings, and moments where things could go either way. It felt more realistic to me than stories where everything just falls into place.
