A beautiful, deeply thoughtful book that treats children's big questions with respect.

I bought this book as a keepsake gift for my 8-year-old godson's First Communion, and I could not be happier with the choice. Finding Christian books for children in the 6–10 age range is surprisingly difficult. Most of them are either toddlers' picture bibles that oversimplify everything into a two-sentence summary, or dense devotionals that read like dry homework assignments. The Garden of Faith manages to do something truly rare: it takes complex theological concepts—topics like the nature of the Trinity, grace, covenant, and eschatology—and makes them completely accessible without watering them down.

Title: Finally, a theology book for kids that doesn't talk down to them

As a parent, trying to explain complex theological concepts to a seven-year-old can feel completely overwhelming. You want to give them real, solid answers to their big questions without making it sound like a dry, boring lecture. The Garden of Faith is the first book I’ve found that completely hits that sweet spot. It manages to introduce systematic theology in a way that feels incredibly natural, warm, and deeply engaging for the 6-10 age group.

Simple way to teach big ideas about God

The tone is gentle, and it uses stories and simple explanations so kids don’t feel overwhelmed. From what I’ve seen, it helps children explore faith step by step instead of just memorizing things, which made it more meaningful for us. As a parent, I liked that it also gave me a way to start conversations.
