nice fantasy adventure

The plot of the tale progresses rapidly and keeps one engaged throughout the entire portion of the tale. The lead character is named Phineas Galvin. He is amiable and exhibits compassion towards others. There are multiple adventure elements in his journey. He discovers hidden caves along with a multitude of perilous obstacles while also being on a definite objective, so his tale is never dull. There were also lots of friendship elements integrated into the story, giving it an additional layer of emotion. The author’s writing is clear and concise which will appeal to most kids or any adult looking for something fun in their reading adventures. Overall, this is a wonderful adventure tale.

an enjoyable adventure story

I picked this book because I like stories about young heroes going on big adventures, and this one kept my attention. The plot moves fast, with plenty of action and a clear goal, so it never really drags. At times it feels pretty simple, but it’s still a fun and easy read, especially if you’re in the mood for something light and adventurous.

A Modern Fantasy Adventure

Phineas Hawk and the Lost Cosmo-gems is an outstanding addition to the young adult fantasy genre! R.K. Grant, along with co-authors Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen and Sheri McGathy, creates a vibrant world that draws you in, from the Kingdom of Seryn to the lands of giants, all without overwhelming readers with too much backstory. What really shines is the growth of the main character, Phineas. The story kicks off with high stakes after a terrifying encounter with the Slaterider, which forces Phineas to evolve from a learner to someone who bears the weight of responsibility for his entire kingdom. His internal struggle to feel "strong enough" compared to his father adds a layer of emotional depth that’s relatable and genuine. The pacing is quick, and the plot is packed with intriguing mysteries, like deciphering ancient tablets and tapping into the "Power of Origin." Plus, the dynamic with his new friend Tate adds an interesting contrast to Phineas's determination.I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a tale about bravery, loyalty, and self-discovery. It respects the intelligence of young readers and keeps you engaged from start to finish.
